Growing up, we were passionate about gathering knowledge. We wanted to accumulate the knowledge that was available in abundance to us present in books, newspapers, history books, news channels, debates, speeches and also on television shows or in films. We felt so proud when we learned and collected some new information and bragged about knowing so much more than others. We never deviated ourselves or looked beyond to know what was not taught or shown to us. All that was available was one side of the story.

Then we grew up and became mature. Every knowledge and information that we gather now appeared to be just the perception created around us by various people who had a motive. With social media, there came two narratives or we were shown both sides of any story. We realized that what was shown to us was nothing but what they wanted us to see. The information was a perception created to suit someone’s purpose. The smartness is to know what they hide and what they try to highlight. To suit their agenda, they modify the truth or show a fake narrative. It’s time to be smart enough and identify such hypocrisy and fake news with an agenda.
